Frequently Asked Questions

Some Frequently Asked Questions

No. Coaching is about building skills and habits for the future. Therapy is about healing or diagnosing. Many of my students also see therapists, and coaching works well alongside that.

Tutoring focuses on subjects (math, reading, etc.). Coaching focuses on skills — planning, starting, organizing, regulating emotions, managing friendships. Once kids learn these, their schoolwork and life improve across the board.

Absolutely. Coaching is practical and action-based, so it often complements therapy. I’ll never replace a therapist, but I help your child put daily strategies into practice.

About 10–15 minutes a week. We’ll touch base so you know what’s happening and how to support at home without nagging or micromanaging.

If you want, yes. With your permission, I’ll communicate with teachers or counselors so everyone’s on the same page.

You can pay in full or split into 3 monthly payments.

Yes. In order to set up a group class, 5 people need to commit.

If you are interested in arranging a class, the adult classes can be from ages 18 and upwards. Our oldest student is currently 83 years old!

If you are interested in arranging a class for children, the groups can either be for children from 1st-3rd grade, 4th-6th grade, 7th-8th grade, 9th-12th grade. There is some wiggle room to be flexible here (for example, if we have a class of 7th and 8th graders and someone is a nearby grade or proficiency level wanted to join, we can definitely explore this option!) Please just speak to Michele to discuss any of your needs/wants/ideas.

All of the classes are recorded. If you miss a class, we can send you the recording. It will be your responsibility to watch the class in its entirety and do the work to be caught up and ready for the next session.

Unfortunately, payments for classes are non-refundable. However, you can take the balance and apply it to individual sessions if you like. This will give you the opportunity to learn at your own pace with one-on-one learning.

This could be a possibility as long as the group is ok with you joining and as long as you are on a similar enough Hebrew level as the group.  It would need to mesh well. We can use your balance to apply it to the group rate.
